Golf in Mauritania

Sports are loved by nearly all Mauritanians. Although the number one Mauritanian pastime is football, many natives and visitors travel to Mauritania to play on their only course. The golf course is a sand course located along the beach.
When packing, keep in mind the weather in Mauritania is HOT. The best time to travel is between November and February when the days are hot and the nights are cool(er). The days average about 85 degrees Fahrenheit and the nights average about 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If you are planning to golf, it is not a good idea to go between March and May because winds are extremely strong. Seeing how it is a sand course, you won’t want sand blowing in your face.

FORE! Lee Westwood ball ends up in a woman's shirt !!!
Lee Westwood hooked his drive on the 13th hole into a crowd of folks at the Ritz Charlton Golf Course as a part of the Accenture Match Play Championship.
This is maybe not news but where the ball landed is incredible..... The ball somehow made it's way into a woman's shirt as seen in the video below.
What would have been funnier is if the lady would have taken a run towards the green and dropped the ball there or even dropped it in the hole :)
